Mechatronik Engineering - Production lines
Tradition and modernity in perfect harmony
The "New Tech" strategy we have developed in Mechatronik Engineering takes a very special approach to restoration work: installing the very latest automotive systems in Mercedes W 111- and W 113-series classic cars not only makes them significantly more suitable for everyday use but also considerably improves classic car driving safety. Conversions utilise a modern V6 or V8 engine and a powertrain modified to handle this kind of output. The chassis is adapted on a case-by-case basis and is given a solid, inner-vented brake system. Vehicle safety is increased further by installing electronic safety systems such as ABS and ASR.
And conversion work also helps reduce vehicle exhaust emissions. The vehicle can now be issued with a green emissions sticker (in Germany). Driver and passenger comfort features such as electric windows, or controls for seat heating or the sound system are integrated almost invisibly into the original control units. In addition, there's a long list of optional equipment extras in terms of in-cabin electronics, which can be selected to suit individual tastes.
With a New Tech vehicle from Mechatronik Engineering, you get more than just a modernised classic car. We deliver a one-of-a-kind vehicle that redefines driving pleasure. And, despite all of these benefits, should the urge take you to restore your classic car to its pristine original condition, we can of course do so without damaging your vehicle.
