Innovative systems for your classic car since 1997

Christmas 1997: Frank Rickert and his colleagues decide to give themselves a very special present – a test drive of the very first M-SL. And this just a mere four months after the market launch of the M 112 V6 engine, which will now give the Pagoda a new heart. An outstanding achievement, given the space available at the time.

From these beginnings, Mechatronik's Engineering division proceeded to go from strength to strength. Development and work on the technical conversion of W 111- and W 113-series vehicles, which comprises our core business in Mechatronik Engineering, was continuously refined and optimised, to ensure we could retain our position in the future as the world's leading company for bringing together the best of both worlds in Mercedes-Benz classic cars.

In 2010, Mechatronik Engineering followed in the footsteps of the "Classic" and "Trade" subsidiaries and was spun off as an independent Mechatronik Group company. Since its formation as an innovative company in the industry, Mechatronik Engineering has stood for superlative quality and the acme of driving pleasure.
