Mechatronik GmbH becomes Club Partner of VfB Stuttgart

"With Mechatronik GmbH, VfB Stuttgart welcomes another club partner for the new season. The internationally operating group of companies for Mercedes-Benz classics and collector's vehicles from Pleidelsheim has signed a 3-year contract with VfB Stuttgart, which will come into force on July 1, 2019. Part of the service package is the name right to the Soccer Lounge in the Untertürkheimer Kurve. The business area there will be renamed "mechatronik Soccer Lounge" on 1 July 2019. Mechatronik GmbH will also be represented there in the future in a business box equipped with twelve seats.

Frank Rickert, founder and managing director of Mechatronik GmbH, is delighted about the future cooperation: "We are a football enthusiastic company. As a long-standing partner of SG Sonnenhof-Großaspach, we have already been able to gain experience in the football environment in recent years. The club partnership with the VfB Stuttgart offers us the opportunity to take the next step and significantly expand our commitment in the football sector".

Björn Schmidt, Managing Director of the holding company FRG Group GmbH and responsible for the group's marketing, adds: "As a specialist for Mercedes-Benz classics and collector's vehicles, we have been closely associated with Mercedes-Benz for more than 20 years.  This proximity will also provide us with points of contact in terms of content, in order to fill our new partnership with VfB Stuttgart with life and to sensibly supplement our existing range. That is precisely our goal and we are very much looking forward to future cooperation."

Jochen Röttgermann, Board Member for Marketing and Sales at VfB Stuttgart, is delighted with the new Club Partner: "I would like to welcome Mechatronik GmbH to the circle of our sponsors and am delighted that we are gaining a company profile as a partner that ideally complements what we already have. As the eponym of the Soccer Lounge, Mechatronik GmbH will very quickly increase its visibility and send a strong signal to the outside world beyond the Mercedes-Benz Arena".

Mechatronik GmbH was founded in 1997 by Frank Rickert, a graduate engineer. At its Pleidelsheim location, the company is primarily dedicated to the repair and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz classics as well as their partial and full restoration. The company's range also includes technology conversions and the construction of prototypes, as well as the sale of classic Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz collector vehicles. Mechatronik GmbH is divided into three corporate groups along this corporate portfolio: The Mechatronik Classic, Mechatronik Engineering and Mechatronik Trade."
