The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster

As a continuation of the collaboration between the British car manufacturer Aston Martin and the Italian design house Zagato, which has been ongoing since 1960, they presented the Vanquish Zagato concept at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como on 20 May 2016. The overwhelming response from the public subsequently led to the announcement of a small series consisting of four model variants at Pebble Beach. A voluminous Shooting Brake, a stylish Coupe, an open Roadster and a sporty Speedster. The first three variants were limited to 99 units each, while the Speedster was only built 28 times, making it the rarest variant of all.

The Speedster differed from the Roadster in that it had a lower and flatter windscreen and no second row of seats, which were replaced by two air domes. Based on the Aston Martin Vanquish, the 6.0 litre V12 engine produces 604 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The vehicle is characterised by the Z signature typical of Zagato, which stands for the flowing design language of the Italians and runs through the entire vehicle. The attention to detail on the exterior and interior creates an elegant and timeless work of art.

The story of this Speedster began on 22 December 2016, when the first and so far only owner signed the purchase contract and thus finalised the order with Aston Martin. In spring 2018, the first delivery finally took place in Switzerland, after which the vehicle was sent to Germany, where it was registered for the first time on 28 August 2018. The Aston Martin enthusiast always regarded the Zagato as a collector's item and treated it accordingly. Despite the extremely low mileage, he strictly adhered to the planned service schedule and had maintenance carried out at Aston Martin on the following dates: 17 July 2019 with 19 km mileage, 24 June 2020 with 20 km mileage, 27 July 2021 with 21 km mileage, 17 November 2022 with 22 km mileage, 29 November 2023 with 24 km mileage and on 20 November 2024 with 26 km mileage.
