The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE
The 599 GTB Fiorano is named after the test track Fiorano, on which Ferrari developed the racing and street cars; GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta. The car was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006. The aluminum chassis is a new development, the engine is based on the twelve-cylinder Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, but has less power with 456 kW (620 hp). This made the 599 GTB the second strongest Ferrari after the Ferrari Enzo when it was launched. The 599 GTB continues the tradition of Ferrari's front-engine V12 sports cars and has a transaxle drive with the gearbox on the rear axle. The new traction control "F1 Trac" of the car was developed in collaboration with Michael Schumacher. The 599 GTB was primarily delivered with Ferrari's “F1 SuperFast” gearshift, which enables gearshifts to be carried out in less than 0.1 seconds. 20 The baffles on the C-pillar stabilize the car at high speeds, similar to a rear wing. The body of the car was created by the supplier Fontana. The following are available as special equipment: a brake system with discs made of carbon ceramic (standard since 2009), various carbon fiber decorative inlays for the interior and a Becker navigation system with integrated car phone. The HGTE package was offered ex works for a surcharge of EUR 23,000. Ferrari installed the Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione equipment, which should further improve driving behavior. The HGTE package included a sports suspension with stabilizers with a larger diameter as well as sports tires and a lowered body, HGTE-specific, forged 20-inch wheels and a sports exhaust system. In addition, the electronics for the HGTE vehicles were changed: with sporty driving settings on the steering wheel button, the time for a gear change (under full load) was reduced to 85 ms, the response of the accelerator pedal was adjusted and the electronically controlled shock absorbers were adjusted to be sportier.
The vehicle offered here was delivered in winter 2008 to its first and so far only registered owner, who registered the 599 GTB on December 5, 2008. The following years the car remained almost unused in its Ferrari collection. This is demonstrated, among other things, by the interior, which is still protected in places in plastic film. We hand over this Ferrari 599 GTB to its future owner with only 1,800 KM mileage including a fresh customer service at Ferrari and MOT. Our sales staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
