The Porsche 911 Carrera RS

For the 1992 model year, Porsche introduced the Porsche 964 RS. It was based on the Porsche 911 "Carrera Cup" race car and drew on the famous 2.7 and 3.0 RS and RSR models. It featured a revised version of the standard engine, internally called M64/03, with power increased to 260 hp and a lightweight flywheel mated to the G50/10 transmission with closer ratios, an asymmetrical limited-slip differential and a steel synchronizer. A track-oriented suspension system with 40 mm lower ride height, stiffer springs, shock absorbers and adjustable stabilizers without power steering. The package included a stripped-out interior with no power windows or seats, rear seats, air conditioning, cruise control, sound deadening or a stereo (optional), and new racing bucket seats up front. The trunk lid was made of aluminum and the chassis was seam welded. The wheels were magnesium and the glass in the doors and rear window was thinner. The Carrera RS is about 155 kg lighter than the Carrera 2 model. People in Zuffenhausen remembered only too fondly the early 1970s, when they launched the 911 Carrera RS in the hope of being able to sell the 500 units needed for homologation. There were considerably more. Nevertheless, the abbreviation "RS", which stood for racing, was dropped again after a few years. At the 1991 Geneva Motor Show, however, the two magic letters were back, namely on the rear of a plain-looking 964 rear-wheel drive car, derived from the Porsche Cup competition car.

The car offered here was delivered in October 1991 to its first owner, one of the world's greatest Porsche collectors. Finished in the rare color night blue metallic with rims in car color this Carrera RS presents itself still today hahezu in the new car condition. After 16 years which the car remains in Germany, its owner decides to move the car to his residence in Asia. The Porsche will remain in its owner's private showroom until 2021, during which time it will be serviced annually by the owner's own staff and kept in fully operational condition throughout. Still first-hand and with a mileage of just over 20,000 miles, our company decides to purchase the vehicle and transfer it back to Germany. Included in the sales price is a great after sales service at delivery. Our sales staff will be happy to answer any detailed questions you may have. Please note that vehicle inspections are only possible by prior appointment.
