The Porsche 911 RUF RCT Speedster
The first repair of a Porsche 356 in 1963 awakened RUF's enthusiasm for the brand. Since then, the capabilities have been continuously developed. Covering all areas of a high performance car, the company has been working on a world class level for decades. In the field of its own brand, RUF continues to set standards in terms of understatement, performance and design. At the same time, the company also rebuilds vehicles for customers who are looking for customization options after their Porsche has been delivered. Maintenance, repair and overhaul of RUF and Porsche vehicles have a long tradition. Due to the grown experience and detailed knowledge of Porsche vehicles, RUF is able to offer full restorations that are recognized in collector circles and by connoisseurs all over the world. The success story of the RUF RCT, introduced in 1994 on the basis of the Type 964. The success story of RUF turbo engines goes back 37 years. A milestone of this history is the RUF RCT, which was first introduced in 1994. The abbreviation "RCT" stands for "RUF Carrera Turbo". The basic concept of turning a naturally aspirated engine into a high-torque turbo engine by means of gentle exhaust gas turbocharging was met with great enthusiasm. A sports car with the RUF signet stands for a passionate commitment to the automobile, for refinement and individualization. At the head of the manufacture for high-performance automobiles from Pfaffenhausen is Alois Ruf, who still embodies the face of the brand today.
The car offered here was delivered in 1989 to an influential Porsche collector from Asia, who immediately transfers the car to his private museum. As one of RUF's best customers, the owner decides to commission a unique conversion. The conversion of the Speedster to a RUF RCT. This conversion included the following components: RUF RCT engine (370 hp), RUF 6 speed gearbox incl. conversion to hydraulic clutch and G50 gearshift, EKS clutch system, RUF 17" Speedline wheel set, RUF instrument set 964 RCT / EKS, as well as the conversion to original Porsche front and rear bumper, as well as sill covers in Turbo look. A certificate from RUF is available for this work. Also in the following years the car remained almost unused in the said collection, except for the regular movement journeys, until the purchase by our company. The mileage at that time was 662 kilometers. Immediately after the arrival of the car in our company, the Speedster was delivered to RUF for a major service. A detailed invoice for all work is of course available. Optically as well as technically this vehicle is in new condition. Our sales staff will be happy to answer any detailed questions you may have. Please note that vehicle inspections are only possible by prior appointment.
