The Maserati MC12
The Maserati MC12 was developed primarily as a homologation vehicle for motorsport. Homologation is a process whereby a manufacturer produces a limited number of road cars that meet the technical and safety requirements needed to compete in specific racing series. In this case, the MC12 was developed specifically to compete in the FIA GT Championship. The MC12 was produced in a very limited number of only 50 units between 2004 and 2005, 25 of which were intended for road use and 25 for racing. Due to high demand, 50 cars were ultimately produced. The Maserati MC12 is undoubtedly a car that makes the hearts of sports car lovers all over the world beat faster. This car is not only a symbol of luxury and performance, but also a true masterpiece of engineering. An outstanding feature of the Maserati MC12 is its exclusivity. This vehicle was produced in an extremely limited number of just 50 examples, and only a lucky few have the opportunity to own one. This exclusivity makes the MC12 a true collector's item and one of the most desirable Maseratis of modern times. Owning an MC12 not only shows your taste for exquisite automobiles, but also your affinity for the tradition-steeped Maserati brand. The performance of the Maserati MC12 is another factor that makes this car so special. Under the bonnet is a powerful 6.0-litre V12 engine that produces a whopping 632 hp. This immense power enables the MC12 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of over 330 km/h. This car offers a breathtaking driving experience that is second to none. The aerodynamic design of the Maserati MC12 is another aspect that sets it apart from other sports cars. The design has been influenced by wind tunnel testing and intensive research to ensure optimum aerodynamics and stability at high speeds. The result is a car that not only looks and drives incredibly well on the track, but also on the road. The interior of the MC12 is characterised by Italian luxury and craftsmanship. High-quality materials, the finest workmanship and comfortable seats ensure that driving in this car is an experience. Despite its racing genes, the MC12 also offers the comfort and amenities expected of an exclusive sports car. In conclusion, the Maserati MC12 is a car that impresses not only with its performance and exclusivity, but also with its timeless beauty and precision craftsmanship. For those who seek the very best in the world of sports cars and are prepared to invest in a masterpiece of automotive art, the Maserati MC12 is undoubtedly a worthwhile choice. This car embodies the essence of luxury, performance and exclusivity and will undoubtedly remain one of the most sought-after collector's items for years to come. This exceptional vehicle has left a lasting impression not only in racing but also on the road and continues to contribute to the Maserati legend to this day.
The Maserati MC12 offered here is the one with probably the lowest mileage in the world with only 230 kilometres since its delivery in 2005, which took place on 10 March 2005 by Loris Kessel Auto SA with its headquarters in Grancia, near Lugano, in the Italian part of Switzerland. The first owner, who lives only a few kilometres away in Lugano, exhibits the car in his private collection without ever driving it himself. It was not until 2014, after more than 9 years in the first ownership, that the first change of ownership took place. Still with the factory mileage of only 169 KM. As a result, the vehicle is transported via air freight to Tokyo/Japan to its new owner, where it arrives in November 2014. At that time, an MC12 with factory kilometres was already almost impossible to find, so it was not surprising that the new owner did not want to drive the car, but simply stored it in his collection. Almost 4 years later, our MC12 changes hands again. The journey leads to Hong Kong, where the car arrives at a well-known collector in August 2016. In October 2018, the owner had the MC12 serviced by Auto Italia, the Maserati experts in Hong Kong, to ensure that the car was always ready to go. Mileage at the time of the service on 4 October 2018 is 179 kilometres. After 7 years in the possession of the Hong Kong collector, the car returned to Europe in the spring of 2023 and finally to our company, where it underwent an extensive technical inspection. The inspection revealed that the car had not suffered any damage during its service life, despite the fact that it had not been driven more than 230 kilometres in over 18 years. The first tyres from the day of delivery of the MC12 are still mounted. With this MC12 we are pleased to be able to offer the ultimate time capsule from 2005. With regard to the price development of a Mercedes CLK GTR, Porsche GT1 or McLaren F1, it becomes clear that an MC12 brings enormous potential in value development, especially with such a low mileage.
